I dont want a lot of turbo lag. i was originally going to go with the 6262 but i dont want to pass up the deal on the 35r. i want to make 450 500 hp. ill be running a front mount manifold inline pro or mase if i could find one.

Check this out. If you do what he did you should see good power.
I hope it's the right turbo.

... i think if your pushing that much your diff is going to go out
even if you dont launch in it..

those numbers call for diff change
maybe tranny or the stock clutch will go out every like 30kmiles

maybe even some engine work...
the stock engine is good but i dont think you can be running 500hp safely on stock internals.

treadstone intercooler
aem ems series 2
waldoro fuel pump

The GT35R is a great turbo for our cars. It is pretty comparable to the 6262, so either one is about the same as far as turbo lag goes. I used the GT35R with an open 1.06 hot side and the lag was minimal. Full boost by 4500 rpm. It is a really good turbo. Turn the boost down and make 400 hp or crank it up and make 550 - 600.

where are you located?
cause in colorado my tunner is well known and has a huge shop. (mac auto sport)
so he would know everything you would need.

give your tunner a call that has been working on s2000's
our engine is a high compression so its hard to push a lot of boost on stock motors/tranny/rear diff's

the more bigger turbo you have will have more lag but bigger potential to get more power
but the bigger lower piping on the intercooler will help the turbo lag and let it spool faster

but lag wont kill you too much for s2000's, once you down shift and gas the spool is already there
(thanks to our v-tec and high rpms)

-thats why the greddy kit has such a small turbo

i have experience.
my friend went turbo and blew his diff with no launches
and then had to get a diff from puddy,

-he was pushing 420 and blew it

he ended up selling the kit and getting a s/c to make less power but its still fast.

it has been shown that the stock block can safely handle around mid 500s with a good tune and proper maintenance

What does the engine being high compression have to do with it being hard on a trans or differential?
