well im located in dallas, ill probably get jotech to tune my car talked to him when he dropped off a gtr at nissan(i work their) last week and he said 400 was safe and i said i wanted 450 on stock motor and said thats okay. back to the turbo part, i just dont want to end up blowing my car in 6 months. its no longer a dd so thats a plus. the guy selling the turbo only wants 1000 and its brand new in box. should i buy it or not? anyone have a dyno graph with the same turbo?

I'd recommend t1, but good luck with whichever tuner you decide.

I think the turbo that i bought ( garrett p- trim from Evans Tuning) was around $900 brand new. It made 450@15 and 480@16.5/17. May spool slower than a gt35, but i've never driven one so i dont know.

I'd highly recommend T1 over Jotech as well. Jotech tuned mine the first time and T1 correctly tuned mine the second time. Night and day difference. PM me and we can talk. I live in McKinney, Tx. And yes, $1000 for a BNIB GT35R dual BB turbo is a great price. As long as it has both turbine and compressor covers included.

Yeah, the Spool in my car is minimal, fully spooled by like 5,000ish

If your goals are 400-450hp and your budget is not unlimited you want a GTX30R and decent manifold, downpipe etc.

There is no point buying a bigger turbo as all you will get in your current requirements is lag, and all you'll get in your projected requirements is problems (diff, axles etc) you can't afford to fix.

what turbo were you running and how much boost were you pushing. i ended up getting the turbo today but kinda regret buying it. after talking to my tunner he recommended i change the hot side to a t3. so im going to go ahead and see what i can get for the turbo if its not enough ill change the hot side.
