Default Fuel pressure drops

Guys,

i just plugged in the ems and I removed the air pump for evap. I turned they key and noticed the gauge on my fuel rail rises because the fuel pump starts, when the fuel pump turns off pressure drops to 0 in like 6 seconds.

Checked the car for fuel leaks and nothing came up

any ideas?

Mine does the same, I think it should be holding pressure though.

It's leaking down, probably at the pump in the tank. Mine did that and it was a broken clamp on the piece of hose attached to the pump.

What's the fuel pressure once you start the car? or will it not start and that is the issue?

My pfab mani is out getting milled a couple mm. All I did was turn the key to ignition. fuel pressure rises, and when the pump turns off it fuels pressure drops back to 0 in about 5-6 seconds on my fuel rail gauge.

I posted because I dont want to start the car if this is an issue.

If fuel pressure drops that fast will I even have enough pressure to start the car?

Fuel pressure should hold all the time. My crx gets driven maybe once a week and I always pop the hood to check things over and the fuel pressure is always around 35-40psi from the last time I ran the car.

^^ that makes sense because when removing the fuel rail, you need to first relieve the pressure. Therefore, even after a car sits for days it should still have pressure at the rail. If you dont have any leaks, then it would have to be leaking somewhere at the pump
