once a year i take a trip to the dragon, 2200 miles round trip. the first leg from south florida to atlanta is around 700miles, and i drive it straight. never had these leaning out issues.

i dont monitor fuel pressure and do have 02 feedback on so that could be the case.

maybe its only a problem for those that are pushing the pump at the limit of its abbility? another thing to consider is that the tune on the car is the problem. driving for long periods of time could cuase intake temps to rise and your hot air intake trim settings could be off.

not a def, but something to consider.

its hard to go from a 100 dollar walbro that has been shown to work well up to about 500whp to a considerably more expensive solution.

Also http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/fuel_pump...st_2/index.html alot of info on supra fuel pump as far as part numbers blah blah flow rate. Just a heads up tho my brother droped around 750 into his fuel setup. he didnt make it thats part of the reason, he had a garage make it. Runs great never had a prob he had it on his boost'd s2000 for about a year now.
Much appreciated!

I also went on a long 6000 mile cross country road trip with my walbro with no issues. Some days we drove more than 12 hours, in 135 degree heat in the Mojave with the air conditioner blasting.

^ Now that I hear things like that, I'm starting to question my entire fuel system lol

Do you have an AFR gauge?

No, just a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel line under the hood, at any rate OP was having uses with much short runs and his A/F was going to crazy levels. Mine whines, as all Walbros do after long drives, I still love to replace it with something quieter.

I just pulled my NGK copper plugs yesterday after 8000 miles and they didn't show any signs of running too lean at any point.

I'm running the way less boost than your turbo setups though and I'm on stock injectors and the Comptech FPR.

Check your vacuum hose routing to your FPR and makes sure it's not kinked or rubbing against something hot.

Without an AFR gauge you can't be sure whether or not your Walbro is exhibiting the same behavior. I am seeing about a 1/2 point change toward lean with my AFR's under heat soaked conditions. That's not enough to cause me any major concern and it's not going to cost me a motor...but it happens consistently enough that I'm aware of it.

We aren't claiming that it's going to cost someone their motor because no one is tuned on the ragged edge. Simply that it's not a desirable behavior from the fuel pump.

your aem ems right?

fuel>advanced>fuel trims>fueltrims

add some percentage to the air temp fuel correction table in the 135+ air temp range. should fix all those problems. i suspect your air temps are just getting up high and the air temp fuel trim table needs some tweaking.
