Only way you'd get a fuel smell from the turbo is if you were extremely rich. If your idle is 15:1 that is not it. Check your fuel lines and the o-rings around the top and bottom of your fuel injectors...I had one of mine get pinched and whenever you'd switch on the ignition and the fuel pump would prime a little fuel would leak out of the first injector. I pulled the fuel rail and replaced the o-ring. Problem solved. Try that, switch on the ignition but don't start the engine (do it when cold) and smell and look for fuel.

When my car was naturally aspirated, I noticed a strong gasoline smell, but only as I drove. I checked under the hood, and there was my oil filler cap, where I had left it, near the cockpit air intake screen. I don't know how it made a fuel odor, but it stopped when I put it back on.

I'm with kawi10r998cc, pull the black plastic cover off the fuel rail and turn the key on but don't start it. Then do the look and sniff.

I don't know your turbo arrangement, but it's only handling air, exhaust and oil, in most cases. Unless you have an exhaust leak and your mixture is so rich it's got unburned gas in the exhaust, I don't see where you would get fuel odors from a turbo.

Are you smelling anywhere near the crankcase breather? Sometimes they can have a bit of a fuel smell from blowby.
