Default Fuel System Rated For 600 WHP

I am trying to get some stuff done so I can finally finish my current build. So far I have purchased 1000cc injectors, added a FPR, installed a pressure gauge, Walbro 255LPH and I will rewire the pump directly from the battery. After that I would like to add a fuel inlet to each side for the fuel rail.

(1) Has anyone replaced the rubber fuel line? I will either cut it and add a t fitting to run a fuel line on both sides of the fuel rail, or replace it all together. I have no idea where to find the flared fitting for the factory line though.

(2) What did you use to cap off the factory inlet?

(3) Did you use a dampener?

(4) Did you add a fuel filter?

(5) Last but not least did you run a hose from the vapor purge to the intake?

Any info would be great

i pulled the gas recirculation parts off the intake plenum. I was having starting issues after the car was filled up with gas and this solved it. Haven't had any issues, and don't smell fuel in the engine compartment.

btw, how did you wire the fuel pump up? Did you run a relay from the stock wire to the new wire? what gauge wire did you use?

So I decided to go with the IP fuel rail and -6AN inlets, but I could never find a fitting to adapt to the fuel line to anything that would work for the rail. Taking suggestions from other member I cut off the fitting and now have a 5/16 Tube

Why are you going through all this for only 600whp? A walbro will be enough for 600whp. If you want more then you will have to look for more fuel.

Yeah waste of $$ on the IP fuel rail if you ask me.

What fuel are you using for 600whp? That has a lot to do with it.

On pump gas a single intank 255 will be enough. For e85 it is not enough, espically with those injectors at low base fuel pressures.

I am doing a pump gas only tune now for my car with just an intank 255 and the ID 1000's. Stock everything else. my goal for pump gas is 400whp or so.

Then I am going to re-do my fuel setup to go for 600whp on e85. That will consist of:
intank 255
Inline bosch 044
Weldon high pressure regulator
Same ID 1000's
t1 bosch mounting kit/lines to go from stock filter to rail.

This will be enough fuel to make 600whp on e85 with 1000cc injectors running a base pressure of 100psil.

if you are trying to mate a -6 hose end to that steel hose you should reflare the steel tube with a -6 tube nut and tube sleeve on it. I've done it that way with no problems and it looks cleaner. the weird part is the factory hose is a bit smaller then a 3/8 which is what a -6 takes. just make sure you flare it out pretty big. after that you can use a -6 union and then it will except a -6 hose end. hope this helps.
