The difference between the two kits is the material the axles are made of.
so we can start with the 3.9 kit and when we upgrade our HP, the uprated axles from the 5.9 would bolt right in?

Correct, You would just pay for the upgrade to the 5.9s which is a better material for the inner cv's. Other then that they are identical from end to end.

I know these are supposed to be bigger than OEM. Stantaur had to fab a notch into his gas tank to fit, how much lower does this sit w/o having to mod the tank?

can you also please pm me 3.9 price delivered to 91605 thanks!

I can take some measurements later, but its not dangerously low. I drove it all summer with no issues at all with it. PMd

I'm sure it the best fit possible without modding the tank. I was just thinking it might be on the minds of others as well. Measurements would be great!

Checking pm now....

Thanks!
