Do the exhaust bellows help alot or is it a combination of them and a thicker steel?

Any recommendations on exhaust bellows and piping specs. I see it's bracketed to alleviate weight/stress, but imagine it's still a trade off between to thin or thick.

The flex joints and mounting to the motor are necessary to keep them from breaking. Everyone I know that has a dump longer than 8" that doesn't do this, theirs crack.

I have a set similar to those I would sell. They came with my manifold.

Ours didn't have any flex joints or bracing and didn't break.

However, our engine was also solidly mounted to the chassis.

The flex joints may be overkill but the bracing would probably be a must with moving engine mounts. I'll probably have a flex joint put on the 3" DP somewhere near the front of the motor after it snakes down from the turbo but will leave the stock hangers on the rest of the exhaust to hold everything else. That way the exhaust can move around a bit without causing stress issues with the piping.
