Default Fully built motor need opinions on manifold/DP

Hey fellas,

Finally almost finished my Laskey built motor here in the next few weeks.

Problem now is this.

Car prior was at 8psi on a SC34 turbo (BB water-cooled) with a rev-hard cast manifold and a 2.5" DP connected via 5bolt ford flange to the turbo.

My question is this:

1. What's my best bang for the buck option on getting a 3"-3.5" DP connected as the 2.5" isn't going to allow me to make use of my fully built motor at all. I know the SC34 really isn't either but I'm going to run it for a while and max it out at 450-500hp.

2. I haven't seen a V-band option for the SC34, anyone know if it exists?

3. I plan to run as little exhaust as possible (short exhaust), considering a boost operated dump valve option or full 3"+ exhaust.

4. Am I going to have to get a different manifold due to everything possibly not fitting in terms of some other down pipe? I'm not opposed to a tubular but I need it to last as this is a DD and will be taken on long trips.

5. What clutch? I really wanted OEM disc + ap1 fly + ACT HD pressure plate, but with the crank walk stories I'm scared. I know they revised it, do you guys trust it now enough? Also if so how can I know a revised ver. from an old one?

Thanks much for input,
-Greg

if you have room get an atp 5bolt-vband adapter flange or cut the existing dp off the flange and open the flange up to 3inch.

id worry more about that rev-hard manifold, thats whats really going to kill your setup.

I've room yes, seems a good option then.

The rev-hard manifold I'm not excited about...... Was considering Mase/Pfap etc.

I need to keep this on a budget and get the most for my money, found out I got a baby on the way

Though I know the 2.5" DP and exhaust is going to be even worse than the manifold issue.

i believe both ACT PP old and new have the same part #s. However, anything produced after May 09 is the revised ACT PP.
Also, the diaphragm part # is different.. new one is #273, old one is #108.
