Default Problems with install

Ok, so I took some advice from some people on this forum and tried jacking my motor up a lil bit for clearance. I now have clearance but with the turbo installed on the manifold, I am hitting the motor mount with the turbine housing. It is so close to fitting it isnt funny. I took the turbo off and mounted the manifold to the block. My manifold has studs so I am still having issues fitting it up to the manifold with the motor mount being in the way. I am going to try and replace the studs with actual bolts later on in the week. I am running a Precision 5965E turbo with .63 A/R. Have any of you guys had fitment issues with the motor mount?? I did put a notch in my frame to allow for the slightly larger E cover. I am just frustrated at this point, nothing is going to plan.

I just removed some of the studs and replaced them with bolts when I had the inline log manifold and it just fit. Hope that helps!

Hopefully Ya can chime in here tomorrow for you.
I was told it was easier to take the motor mount off but I am not to that stage yet.

I loosened the nut for the motor mount and lifted it up for the clearance I need. But now the motor mount itself is in the way. I would imagine it would be hard to put the motor mount back in with the turbo in the way. I am starting to think I should have went with the PFab like I originally wanted.

Do you have any pictures?
I'm not getting excited about doing this... Especially after reading your frustrations.

I wouldn't recommend bolts...

ARP manifold studs, or you will notice they start backing out, next thing you know your turbo/mani is on the road.

There is no reason to remove the motor mount.

-Mount the manifold on the motor.

-Take comrpessor housing off the turbo.

-Mount the turbo WITHOUT the compressor housing on the turbo

-Put the compressor housing back on the turbo. (make sure you tighten the turbo bolts properly so the housing will not loosen or spin).

Continue from there. Did you purchase this kit second hand or something?

You can replace the studs once the manifold is in the car But it seems as though Ya has chimed in on this with his method. For what its worth, I never had any bolts back out from the head using grade 8.8 bolts and lock washers.

probably should have .....but hey man I had to do some workarounds as well on my PFAB ELT...I had to trim my ARP exhaust manifold studs to get em to fit. Nothing goes exactly as planned.
