I've have been searching and reading about relocating the fuse box which sits by the exhaust manifold.
Has anyone relocated it undeneath the dash board were the airbag sits?
Also when you relocate under the dash i am assuming some wires will have to be extended, is that correct?
passenger airbag is gone so it looks like there is plenty of room here. Also it would be easy to access and away from heat and other elements opposed to putting it in the fender.

So if something fails, and you blow a fuse, you spend 10 minutes replacing a fuse instead of 15 seconds. Pretty good trade off to remove a potential fire hazard.

Fuses typically blow when you're installing new equipment and you're in or in proximity of your garage...

The fuse is supposed to prevent the fire hazard when it blows... Sure, it takes a little longer to change the fuse, but most of the time, when a fuse blows, it's for a good reason. Replacing a fuse on the side of the road isn't the wisest thing as you need to figure out why the fuse blew in the first place.

Can the heat from the manifold/turbo "help" the fuses blow quicker? or is something else the issue?
basically, should I relocate the fuse box to the fender?
