Default Future project

hey, what would you guys think of a Dualcharged S2k... (probably single turbo and supercharger, or twin turbo and single SC) i enjoy going fast and why not do it that way. the SC to get the accel up there really quick and the turbos for power on the top end. for this project im not sure if neither the 2.0 or the 2.2 could handle all of that stress of quickly pulling air in and quickly expelling it. but this is a big project that i see taking close to 2 years to actually do. just want some feedback from the FI pros and hear their opinions on what they think. and thinks for taking your time and reading this.

Not worth it. Properly sized turbo will be plenty. Or a 1200/1500 blower. Both are fine by themselves.

THIS

I honestly don't understand why everyone thinks this is such a novel idea.

A properly sized turbo will bring both the pressure levels, and powerband up MUCH MUCH quicker than any S/C setup on the market

I think all the V8 guys have gotten to peoples heads with the " argh argh argh supercharger for instant boost no lag blah blah"

even something like a GT30 will see 10psi and more tq WELL before any blower available.

Do some more research, a properly designed turbo setup can accomplish exactly what you want, with 1/3 the bullshit.

I agree completely with this. Dual setup may work if you had a screw or roots type supercharger but it would be a wasted effort on our cars. Gt30 or 5857 paired with an elt manifold will spool plenty quick and be tons of fun.

WTF is a stookay??????

its just an idea that popped into my head.. my original setup would be boost on GT3076r
and supporting mods, but the thought of dual chargers going at it just sounds awesome

i got a client with a mini cooper in Colombia with a roots blower and a old precision sc61 and it was a nightmare to tune to get it out of the corners without traction issues. Works cools on WOT because there is the feeling of almost no lag but in the quick on/off throttle it did not perform as well as intended. I suggested to change the setup to a more efficient manifold and a gtx3071 and it runs 1000% better. Lost alot of weight as well.
