Default Gale Banks Variable vein turbo

Hey guys. Saw that Gale Banks is working on a turbo that changes the veins in the exhaust side of the turbo so it spools quicker at low rpms but then puts out more cfm's at higher rpms. Does it with a computer that talks with the engine, and the computer. Would this be possible on the S2

Maybe this question is best answered by Mr. Banks?
He may be a wiz with turbos and American V8s. I'll bet he's never seen the likes of anything like an S2000 engine.

I know that 2.2L TurboIV Chryslers used a variable vane turbo, that was ridiculously expensive to fix. Not real sure if any variable vane units would match for use with a S2000.

they have been around for years, better known as VNT's (variable nozzle technology) its a great idea that just never worked out. Too many moving parts IMO.
Spooling times arent really a problem anymore anyway unless you have the wrong turbo for your application.

here are some pics

They are extremely popular on Diesel vehicles in Europe (VNT).

Honda actually uses a Variable Nozzle turbo on the 2.2L i-CTDi Diesel engine used on the Euro accord and CRV

I was actually an owner of a 1990 Dodge Shadow VNT. Very fun car! The turbo setup does have its drawbacks though. It spins at such a high velocity as is that you really can't crank up the boost too much. There really wasn't much turbo lag though. Almost instant boost. Sweet ride!
