Default Garrett GT35R exhaust side

As many of you know I was one of the people that got screwed by ken at peakboost but since I did receive about half my order I am still using the parts I received to finish my build. I just bought the peakboost downpipe and vband adapter from StaticS2K so I am gonna stick with getting a Garrett gt35. I have been reading this site like crazy but there was one thing I never really read about. I am deciding which exhaust side to get for a 35r. Right now I have a supertech built head (valves, dual springs, ti retainers, new exhaust guides) with a Inline pro 3mm HG with plans of a complete button end build in the future to replace the 3mm gasket. My choices are .63 .82, or 1.06; now this is still a street car but not my daily driver and I do want to track it (1/4 mile) so I want to have the right size exhaust housing from the get go. By the way pumps in my area are mostly 93 octane. Iconicracing is selling Irishflame27 old gt35r .82 with ac relocation lines that he had on his peakboost kit for $950. That sounds like a good buy to me but is that the exhaust housing size I want? I want a good fast spool but I dont want to sacrifice my top end. Also is there possibly another turbo that I could go with that would fit my setup so I can still use my downpipe and vband adapter without modification?

I have the .82 GT35R on my Full Race setup below is my graph on pump gas Evan's tuned. But my suggestion would be to talk with your tuner tell him your power goals and then do what he suggests. Mine spools pretty good and has crazy top end. Pay no attention to the power loss at the end my injectors where backing and I have since fix that issue so the power stays now.

FYI be careful with going over the 500hp mark with that 3mm head gasket on pump gas. I popped mine after 4000 miles at this power level.

I'm assuming you have T3 flanged manifold. If so, go with .82. If you have a T4 flanged mani, then your only option is the 1.06 for a GT35r.

My tuner really wants me to get a .63 exhaust side because they said "it will spool up fast as hell" but they arent sure how it will affect the top end. The thing is since my top end is built if I can continue to make power past 9000rpm's than I want my turbo to choke. I may just buy the turbo for sale in the forums with the .82 and try to find a used .63 exhaust housing for cheap. I just checked atpturbo and new the housings were $400.

Get the biggest one you can, .63 would be a horrible choice for this motor. I have swapped from a 1.06 to a 1.19 on my GT40 and gained drastic top end with literally no loss in spool.
