I'm still contemplating turbo or comptech sc and was wondering if the a/f gauge was really necessary meaning that I would need to tune the car if I had the sc? Because I thought the comptech was suppose to be a bolt on affair with no tuning involved or am I mistakened?

The comptech kit does NOT require extra gauges......tuning is not required per say "out the box".

I'm asking the questions because I'm going for "show" as much as the "go".

I just like the interior cosmetics but in the long run when I do upgrade they will definately come into play.

I have an EGT boost gauge right now. Is that a good way or is it the accurate or the "right" of reading the air/fuel ratio from it?

I currently have an Innovate motorsports wideband LC1/XD1 O2 and Spa technique dual(oil temp, oil pressure). Already mounted in the radio door complete with everything you need for hookup. Make me an offer. It is perfect for S/C.

Either you're confused or I am. What's an EGT boost gauge? You either have an EGT (exhaust gas temp) gauge (reads in degrees) or you have a boost gauge (reads in psi or bars or atm.). Or do you mean you have a 2 in 1 gauge with both EGT and Boost? Neither one of these is for reading A/F ratio. You need a wide-band A/F gauge to do this.

Besides the EGT boost gauge comment made by Xviper, an EGT (exhaust gas temperature) gauges is one of the worst ways to read A/F. Yes cooler temps are a sign of running rich and high temps can mean running lean, but the problem is that your timing also affects your EGT readings. You could be running 12 to 1 AF but have advanced timing (fuel is still being burned as the exhasut value opens), which would give you high EGT readings. You could keep adding fuel all day long and the temp would not change.
