You are correct. Im thinking about running them. After this thread, I just dont know what two to choose. Im thinking about running boost and a/f in the SOS pillar pod and then customizing my radio door and putting oil pressure and oil temp in it.

Also, how hard is the install of the boost and A/F gauge?

What about the oil pressure/oil temp gauges? You have to tap the oil pan, right?

Boost is just a "T" off a vacuum/pressure line on the intake manifold.
What kind of A/F? Narrow band, you just need the stock primary O2 wire at the ECU to tap into. Wide band, you'll need to install the O2 sensor into the header that comes with the gauge.
Oil pressure can be "T" at the OEM oil pressure sensor.
Oil temp is a bit more complicated. You can get the Greddy sandwich adaptor that goes between the oil filter and the engine but this gives you an artificial reading as there is an oil cooler there. Tapping the pan is the other choice but you'll always have to deal with seepage.

Thank you very much. I suppose I will skip on the oil temp as the oil pressure should be sufficient for my purpose. I was talking about a narrow band. Im probably going to use one until I upgrade and go with a wide band. Thanks again!

i have boost and oil press.

Boost is just a pimp gauge to have and Oil press is a must on vtec cars.

I don't think the A/F gauge will be worth much as its always jumping around and becomes just a pretty light. Plus its not that accurate and has no EXACT reading.

Now is there any companies that make gauge pods for the s2k other than Science of Speed? I would really like a 3 gauge pod, but I believe that it would have to be custom made. Ive heard problems of the SOS gauge pod matching the interior. Thanks again for the help!

You are underestimating what these gauges can do, but then, you have to know what they are trying to tell you. A boost gauge will tell you if your belt is slipping on a S/Cd car. It will also tell you if something is wrong with your wastegate on a Turbo car or if you have a leak (or bad connection) in the plumbing.

If you know what you are looking for, even a narrow band gauge can be very revealing. You need to consult the instructions that came with it to know the approximate a/f for each given light. The important thing to know is what the a/f is under load at WOT in the upper rpm range. Under these conditions, the narrow band lights are quite stable. This, in conjunction with knowing how to "read" your spark plugs can be very important in determining the health of your engine. Obviously, you can't tune with a narrow band.
For an exact number, that's what wide bands are for and don't think for a second that these don't have their numbers jumping all over the place under certain conditions, just like the narrow band. The big difference is that under those conditions of WOT like I said before, you get an actual number.

I have not seen a 3 gauge pod designed for an S2000. If you can find one or have one made, I'd be very interested in it.
The color match of the SOS is slightly off but not that bad. In the years that I've had mine, I've gotten used to it and it doesn't look out of place.

Thank you very much. I wish we could find a 3 gauge. Oh well. I guess that I will go with the two gauge pod and then try to figure out a place to mount the 3rd gauge. Thanks for all the info XViper!
