Getting AEM Serial gauge to read boost in psi....
Make sure you have the gauge completely off (ie absolutely no power to it... I take the key completely out to insure this), and open the software and get it to start trying to connect (ie the "connecting to gauge" window/popup should be open) and then put the key in and turn to on and let the gauge power up.
This is crucial. The first time I tried connecting to my gauge it took me a long time to figure this out (even though it clearly says this in the instructions). This is the only way it will work. If the gauge is already on and you try to connect, it will not work. Also make sure that if you have two serial gauges that they aren't connected (ie "daisy chained") to each other. If I remember correctly that is another thing that could cause problems connecting.
Other than that I can't think of anything. Good luck.

My serial to USB has led lights to indicate connection on the serial connector? Does that include the power I should disconnect. I had it connecting a few days back, I honestly don't know what's changed.
Maybe. Try setting the software to connect and then plugging in the cable and turning the key to on.
I got frustrated yesterday after getting a couple of cal files from another member on here and not being able to try them out. I will try again first thing in the morning, hopefully it works.
So I contacted AEM customer service but it didn't help. The only thing they told me was to check the connectors. Looks like I'm headed back to the tech store for another female to female connector. I really want this to start working!!
