Are you basing your statement on the intercooler that was covered with fluids and squashed after the impact?
I talked to Ptuning, they know the original purchaser and the kit. It’s new. The turbo and header a barely discolored, and you can’t fake that or clean that to look like new.
I feel pretty bad for the original purchaser. He waited 8 months for the kit and bought injectors and Haltech stuff too.

Haters gonna hate.

And damn, that's some due diligence talking to PTuning about the kit.

The Spal fan was ruined, but not a scratch on the intercooler. One of the side tabs got pulled off but that a super easy fix.
It can with a Haltech ecu , so I’ll be sticking with that and offing my AEM. I guess the Haltech has a few more things it can do over the AMS. I’m perfectly happy with the AEM, but Haltech is what ptuning uses.
It’ll be fun to make this box of parts back into a beefy thing!
Don't even want to think of a phone call like that. Poor owner must have blew his own gasket and then some. This is why my beloved S2000 never sees the inside of workshops - dealers or otherwise. I built it from totally stock to supercharged myself and the results speak for themselves. Even when I take the car for tire fitment or alignment I don't let the guys drive the car on and off the alignment lift or take it for a test drive afterwards.

Haltech is pretty good too. Not sure if it would really have more options than the AEM but which Haltech unit is it and which AEM do you have?

Thanks for the reply,

I’ve had horrible luck with shops, like the original owner of the turbo. My car is on jacks now, as the last Dyno guy kept dumping the clutch at 6k rpm to set the 2 step, and I’m pretty sure now that it blew up the tranny.

The Haltech is a Platnum pro and the AMS is a new V2. I did the AEM install about 500 miles ago.
PTuning likes and uses the Haltech , so I’ll likely use that, but that’ll depend on if I can find a tuner.
