its an awfully tight space i don't know if it can be done with the turbo on the car

unfortunately its one of those things that will be trial and error
I'll have to check it out but I think the motor mount is going to be in the way. This sucks!

hmm odd; i dont even run a boost controller and with stock cat and 70mm exhaust i hit 7-8 psi at redline

i would try adjusting the wastegate actuator arm..that was my issue..
Highflow cat flows twice as much as a stock cat and only around 15% less than a test pipe.

Im thinking of checking the actuator but am also contemplating what to do if that doesnt work. Guess I could ditch my single in favore of another dual like the T1R 63 etc...
OR I could ditch my HFC in favor of the OEM but I think my girl would rather me go to a dual. (Already thinking of the T1R 63 dual sparrow)

Well played with the tru boost last night and raised the boost of all things, but it actually helped with the spiking in VTEC. By raising the boost around 1 pound in the lower RPM (from 7.5 raised to 8.5)I saw almost 1 pound less of spike in VTEC (now spiking to ten instead of 10.9).

I just threw my silencer back in right now and I will see how that stabilizes things more. I just hate it in because I know it kills power.

What is your Spr setting on the truboost? This kit spools so fast, I set mine to 2.

I had the tru boost to the "off" position and was getting spiking to 10.9psi.

I then programed the tru boost to an SPR of 4 for channel "A" and had my boost spiking go down to 10.0. Maybe I just need to have the tuner work on this, but I was hoping to work out the issues before I went there.

I did put the silencer back in today and had to go for a drive out to OC. The car totally sucked in VTEC (totally fell on its face) and now I know why it did with the stock exhaust and 70 single with silencer... AFR's in VTEC were at 10.0 which tells me that the AFRs were probably in the 9's and was drowning the cylinders in gas so it couldn't make power..

I'm going to trey adjusting my waste gate next weekend. I'm hoping it will smooth out the spikes. I hit 10.7ish first thing in the morning, but it only does it every now and then. I'm a little puzzled as to how greddy is letting a 7psi kit ship with a lot of them at 10. I've never seen under 8.5 psi on my kit. You may have to adjust it. The flap may be opening too late to catch the spike. I'm hoping the adjustment will let me inch my controller up to 10psi safely. I hope it works out for you.

What is your exhaust/ cat setup?

Yeah I really dont want to have to take off the manifold and turbo to try and adjust a rod (wastegate actuator rod) that may not even be the culprit. Its going to be a half day job for me that im already not looking forward to.. I can think of two bolts during install that I hoped I would never have to take off after putting them on. LOL

Its a shame the wastegate is so small, with my test pipe and the 300 ponies + it was producing the car sounded like a demon from hell it was awesome. The fact that I have to keep my OEM cat in to prevent me from creeping just blows...............
