[QUOTE=JoeyBalls,Jun 29 2008, 04:52 AM] Its a shame the wastegate is so small, with my test pipe and the 300 ponies + it was producing the car sounded like a demon from hell it was awesome.

I have the Invidia V3, the OEM CAT is ok, no creep, and I have not tried to screw with the Wastegate rod. Tempted but don't want the headache for the 10 or so HP......

I really dont want to put my OEM cat back in. I just bought my Berk HFC and it also has the bung in it for my wideband.

Yeah a major headache to try and adjust that rod, which probably wont do anything..

I'm completely stock plus the kit. I really do think it's the wastegate. I'm going with a bhfc and a greddy ti-c 70mm single when overtime kicks in.

I don't see why everyone just uses the OEM cat coupled with their favorite exhaust. Its KNOWN that the kit will creep with a hfc / testpipe once the temps get down.

Seems like a fairly large headache for an extra 5-10hp at most.

because the car is much slower with the stock cat installed. I would estimate at least 20+ WHP less even with a 70mm single exhaust attached.

I live in southern ca and temps are between 60-110 degrees right now. Its never "cold" here, thanks to my location and global warming.

Holly ish, your getting spikes in the tens with stock cat and exhaust???

I wish I could tell if mine does that. I put my silencer in my 70 yesterday to see if cutting the flow down would help but my car just bogged and wouldnt climb in RPM in VTEC with it in. (AFR's easliy in th 9's) The same happened with my OEM exhaust/OEM cat setup.
