Default GM Boost Control Solenoid and Switch

For those using the GM boost control solenoid, what did you use for a switch and where did you mount it? Any pics?

I already have the wiring end worked out with the AEM EMS, I just need an idea of what to get for a switch and where to put it in the car.

I need to get this figured out before I get tuned this Friday

Thanks.

I can't help you out with installing it as I still haven't gotten mine in, but you can order it from here... http://automotivespeed.com/product_i...roducts_id=209

^^ No, I already have the GM boost control solenoid installed and hooked up in my engine bay and ready to be wired into my EMS.

What I'm talking about is what do you use for the actual switch inside the cockpit of the car and where is a good place to mount it?

No switch here. Mine runs 100% of the time and is tuned for max power and boost on pump gas. If I want less power, I simply don't press as hard on the gas. More power = race gas and new parts = retuning = uploading a different/new map.

Thanks Tim, but my tuner thinks differently and he works for AEM so I'm pretty sure of his advice.

Anyone have any thoughts on my original post?

You can use any on/off switch from radio shack. I don't use one myself but you can do that if you'd like.

Just hook up a + and the GM solenoid to an available pulse-width output. Use the D connector if you can or have it.
