going turbo
Hey all, I just picked up a 05 s2k this week. the winter is coming, so best time to do a mild build. I am not new to Boost, before I had a 00 civic Si boosted on internals.
I want to know is anyone running a turbo setup on stock internals?
how much whp are these F-series motors good for on oem internals?
I looked around, but i see alot of S/C setups, not much info on turbo.
thanks in advance

I think you can do 9 pounds or so without messing with the compression. You're looking at the 350 rwhp-ish range assuming the car is mostly stock with a turbo back 3 inch. If you don't want to mess with compression or internals you could do other stuff like larger throttle body and intake manifold to squeeze some more power out.
But I'm in your shoes; I'm sure a more experience person will chime in.

Inline PRO was running mid 20s for psi and more than 560 whp on stock internals with just a headgasket on their car...
As long as the motor is in good condition, with a headgasket and a good tune you can pull out A LOT of power with a turbo on the stock motor...

I have 22k miles on the car, but i guess I should do a compression/leak down test first.

yea labor will be raw on the hg, im going 3mm inline pro head gasket with arp bolts on stock internals, how much boost can i push safely?
it's not a matter of how much boost you can push.. it's a matter of how much power.....
stock block with 3mm headgasket and reliable (daily driving) = 500rwhp....anything more then that you're pushing your luck....
