Got impatient -_-
To make things short and sweet I had originally planned on tapping my oil return in the girdle unfortunately my engine builder still has my motor, yesterday I wasn't paying attention and tapped the flat front part of the pan at the highest point. It should clear the oil level I'm gunna check when I go home but my main concern is that's basically smack in the middle of where the the oil pump sprocket is but the fitting sits flush with the inside of pan it wouldnt protrude into the wheel. So my main question is has anyone ever tapped there and does it work? I know everyone's goin to tell me to tap the girdle but this is already finished so if it works then I'll leave it if not I'll just weld it up and tap the girdle. Moral of the story never rush to try to get things done ahead of schedule it always bites you in the ass

FBM tapped my pan for me and its in front at a high point on the pan. i dont think people realize that when the car is running the pan is NOT full of oil. the big thing you need to worry about is clearing the other shit around it as well as the front cross member. my return is with AN fittings, was kind of a mission to get it routed and installed.

It's ok I've already plugged it didn't feel comfortable about letting it rock how it was. Just going to tap the girdle when I get the Shortblock back. Thanks for the concern though Evan, hopefully she will be running by the beginning of July
