Yeah, you are looking at a 10 to 15% diff. when it comes to dyno's. Still good number non the less. I guess we s2000 FI memebers should come up with a basic formula. Subtract from the Dyno pack numbers or add to the mustang dyno dynamic numbers. I think we should add 12%.

thanks for being honest and posting this!

kinda funny to me how on EVO sites and some other sites I've been on everyone accepts how different brand dynos read differently but it's always a touchy subject on here for some people. basically in order of power this is how common dyno's will rank as far as reading horsepower, listed highest to lowest...

DynaPak (highest reading)
DynoJet
Mustang
Dyno Dynamics (lowest reading)

personally when looking at dyno sheets I give the most credibility to DynoJets simply because there are no user defined values that get entered that can effect the power results. DynaPak's tend to read higher anyway but you have to enter information that, whether by accident or on purpose, (cough, Church's dyno, cough) can change the numbers. on Mustang dynos you have to enter the weight of the car and unless there's a vehicle scale at the shop the weight is never going to be 100% accurate. again, whether by accident or on purpose, you throw in the wrong weight and you can inflate the numbers. Dyno Dynamics allow you to put in a correction factor but I've only ever seen one shop that actually does that on their Dyno Dynamics dyno. I know Mase does not add a correction factor and that's one more reason his numbers are impressive considering he's using the lowest reading dyno that's out there.

in the end all dyno's read slightly different and if you really want the most accurate way to show power gains you need a baseline on the same dyno that you're going to come back to later after your mods. then everyone can look at the baseline and your power run and see if it's high or low compared to what they're used to.

I would say leave the dyno pack as the base for members. Add 10% for dyno jet add12% for mustang and add 15% for dyno dynamic. This is just based off the dyno numbers I have seen on the board and this I have read comparing dynos. IMO

it would be for sure. my guess would be about 6 or 7 percent lower than your Evan's dyno just going by numbers I've seen from his dyno and dynojets. Evan's definitely doesn't inflate the numbers like Church's but that brand dyno will read higher than a dynojet.

i think its mostly bc there no rear wheels on the car on the dynapack, i know they say it anticipates that, but it doesnt. i always thought mustangs were the lowest reading dynos, i was wrong. I always knew i wasnt making 400lbs of torque at my psi, it just seemed too high. anyone else tune their car on multiple dynos, and can someone give me an example of how churches numbers are that inflated

Churches dynapack reads about 9% higher than a dynojet.
