My tuners and I cannot seem to find out why my car isn't producing any ignition in the spark plugs. Everything else is going fine, for now anyway. We yanked out the spark plug and turned it over and sure enough no spark at all. Is there anything you guys can think of that it may be with a boomslang harness and emanage??

 

when i first plugged up the emanage my motor wouldnt turn over either took me days to find out. but it all ended up with the fuse for the ignition coil located behind the kickpanel. find this fuse and it should start

 

I think the car had a lojack system of some sort on it before I purchased the car. I just hope it doesn't have anything to do with that and that they can find it quickly. My installer should have put it in properly. Now I have to spend 80+ dollars per hour to have something found/ficed that should have been done right to begin with. Just venting as I have driven 200miles round trip Friday and Saturday in a POS car and still don't have my baby running. UGHHHH.

 

If someone were to have removed or disconnected an out of use lojack setup could it effect the spark?? If so how could you find the problem??

 

I thought lojack was simply a GPS transmitter located inside the car to track it if stolen?

 

I hope that is all that it was. I, at one time, had the recipt to whatever it is the guy tyhat owned the car before me had installed. It was like 1500 dollars and I am just hoping it didn't have any cut offs. I just want to get my car on the dyno and tuned. I have that hopeless feeling 90 miles away from the car and not knowing whats going to happen and how much it is going to cost to repair.

 

Spec was right if it was "Lo Jack" then it is only a transmitter that gives off a signal for the police to follow. Lo Jack does not have any other security points like an ignition cut off or alarm. However, it is possible that it was some other type of after market security system. I would start by just following the ignition wires and find out how far back you dont have current. See where it starts and go from there. If you have an Ohm meter you can check for any breaks in the system. But first thing is first check you fuses.
