Default Greddy eManage

I hope this has not been discussed before. If it was, please navigate me to the link...

I am planning to get eManage for my Vortech Kit. It will be installed within this week. I will also installing RC650 injectors and a 9 PSI pulley (not sure about the size). I know that AEM is a lot better but I had so many expenses that I can't afford it right now.

My question is: When I am buying the eManage, what do I need to buy with it?? I checked their website and it says there is an optional ignition harness and some other stuff. What exactly do I need to get this thing working??

Also, I asked a tuning shop and they said installation is $150 and the tuning is $225. If I get the Plug and Play Harness thing, the installation will be cheaper right?? Where can I buy that PNP thing?? also does it help when tuning??

Thanks...

the plug and play harness is a frog harness, you will still have to wire it into the frog harness but then you can plug it in from there.

Do a search for Frog Harness.

You just need the emanage, and the wires that come with it, all the other stuff your can use but are not essential. Like the Injector harness I believe is useless.

Boomslang has the PnP harness. If you get BLUE (vs Ultimate), the complete harness is $180 or so I think.
There is a thread in JDM tuning titled I WANT 230WHP, read page 36 or so.

Ask your tuner if he has software and the USB/Serial cable you need.
You might want the injector harness since you will be playing with fuel and different injectors quite a bit.

There are several pieces you'll need.
I would recommend the Ultimate. There is a price breakdown in that thread I mentioned.

It should not cost anything to install if you get the ignition/injector PnP harmess (like boomslang). You can just pull off the side kick panel, upnlug the 3 clips from the ecu, plug them into the harness, plug the harness into the ecu, run the harness wires under the door sill, and velcro the emanage behind your driver seat. Very easy, and only about 20min job.
If you do not get the harness, then the tuner will have to splice into the wires going to the ecu.
I would get the harness. (and I did).
