As many have suggested, it's best to get it tuned, but the caveat to that is you need to find a tuner who knows how to tune S2000's and know how to use the eManage Ultimate.

You can run the base map and it should be ok as long as your exhaust is not too "free-flowing". I believe you mentioned you were going to run the HKS Hi-power + TP, i think most would recommend against not using a cat, so if you're set on using that exhaust configuration make sure you have a boost and AFR gauges and monitor them carefully.

The turbo he is using has been ported nicely, by me - he purchased it from me https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...post&p=16006597
So that should help prevent creep but due to the many variables involved as people have mentioned, really you won't know if your exhaust configuration may be an issue until you run it.

The best advise everyone has offered is to have it tuned by a competent tuner, even if you have travel 8 hrs to a good tuning shop, you should seriously consider doing just that!

The point we're all dancing around is that the base map is not dialed in for our specific vehicle. It's hopefully conservative and assumed to be "safe" for any S2000, but there is a risk of it not being right for our specific car. The more supporting mods (especially to the exhaust system) you make, the more that risk becomes a certainty.

A good tune from a competent tuner will lessen the risk of damage to your motor. It's one of the smartest things you can do to protect your car.

Got the AEM Tru Boost and Uego. I will definetly get it tuned also. One question, once the car is tuned. how much of the change in weather effect the car's performance and drivability? I know we are heading into winter now and if the car is tuned on a really cold day, will it be too much of temperature deviation when summer comes around. Is there an ideal temperature/barometer setting to tune the car?

^this happens to me. I got my car tuned in winter at about 40 degrees farenheit. During the summer the car idled like crap at 100 degree weather it drove fine it just ran pig rich. My advice get tuned now and then when summer comes get another map made. Then you can switch to maps when you need too

So does the Emanage Ult allow to store multiple maps and have them switch on the fly? or does this map switch require connecting the USB with your laptop and upload /download the file?

i think you could possible work w/ the external dip switches to do this, but don't quote me on that.

Greddy Turbo'd for over 3 years, ILP 3mm hg, AEM EMS, 14 psi, and the car is wonderful to drive.
The only problem is the manifold, which seems to crack at around 3-5,000 miles for me

Besides that, the kit is very reliable, given that it is tuned the right way by a PROVEN and COMPETENT tuner.

Volkdc2 if you part it out, I'll take a lot of stuff from the kit.
