Hey guys... I had my car tuned at 12 psi last month and I still have the stock map sensor and was not aware that it can only do about 10.5 or so. I was just wondering if you guys would recomend turning the boost down till I get one or if I am fine.. The car runs fine so I`m not sure...thanks

 

if it was tuned by someone, they just used whatever max psi the stock map sensor would read and tuned that for your wot @ 12psi. its fine.

 

Your tune is fine, the MAP sensor is pegged at 5V anyways, fuel and timing are based on TPS and RPM after that.

The issue is that the stock MAP sensor can eventually get damaged when used above 10psi - or at least that's what I've heard.

 

Most of the sensors I have seen start getting iratic around 10.5-11 psi. I ran the Greddy with the stock map and noticed that there were some peaks missing.

If you do decied to get one I have mine FS after being used for about 500-1000 miles.
