Greddy Turbo: Ultimate Tuning question
For those who have seen the map came with Greddy Turbo Kit (AP2),
I have been reading the map for while.. i can't understand the reason for Ignition Accel Map, i understand if add timing to ign accel map might improve throttle respones and compensation with Fuel accel map in the other hand retard timing..?
I only can think couple reason:
1- Retard timing for high EGT for quicker spool up
2- Anti-knock for no blowoff valve re-accel
3- or just Anti-knock reason?
I have been tuning AEM before which there is no Ignition Accel map or Ignition Decel, tuning ultimate is kind of new for me..
Thanks in Advance.

During acceleration, the engine's "tolerance" for ignition change is not necessarily linear, neither is fuel requirements. The ign and injector accel maps let you fine tune for accel.
Injector/Ignition accel map are normally keep the engine from stumbling when you suddenly open the throttle, when you stab the throttle it will make correction (en-rich/Advance timing), so engine responsive as possible.
However in this case, timing where retard which confuse me a little..
I think we are saying exactly the same thing. The maps let you tune the performance for acceleration, meaning when you stomp on the gas. If the injector accel map is off, the car will stumble due to too rich or too lean. You should be able to get spark blowout if its really fukt. You can also get pre-detonation (knock) if you don't pull enough timing, or weak accel if you pull too much ignition timing.
