Default Greddy Turbo, whats a good exhaust to run

Hey i have an 2001 and i am goin to buy the greddy turbo kit, im just going to run the kit as is without trying to make any extra horsepower. What is a good exhaust to run? can i run a 2.75 or do i need a 3 inch, also if i run a straight pipe will i need to get it tuned?

you should have it tuned regardless of any mods from stock with the greddy kit. The base map provided by the kit was made with a 80mm catback and good for 10psi, but every car is different. If you stick with a 63mm exhaust, you should be ok with running a test pipe. I have heard people say that having a full 70mm exhaust with test pipe will get a lil boost creep. I am running an Invidia 63mm dual exhaust with 63mm test pipe. Without a boost controller on, it will produce about 7.5psi Be sure to go with 1 step colder plugs, I am using NGK BKR8EIX plugs (stock number 2668).

I am using the Invidia V3 and a berk HFC soon going to a 3" TP. For your needs I would consider the Greddy TIC 70mm single and run a HFC. If you run the stock cat you can do a 80mm. Its kinda of a mix and match thing. 80mm and a TP is too much, but a 70mm/2.5 inch dual and a HFC should work.

you could try running a 63mm TP. It's a $100 experiment. I would at least try it.

I run an Ultimate Racing 2.5" dual with 2004 exhaust tips with the Berks 2.5" hiflow cat and my car is tuned for 10 psi. It never creeps and holds boost at 9.6 - 10 psi depending on ambient temp and humidity. I use the Greddy e-01 electronic boost controller though. I run 1 step colder plugs gapped to .028. I don't remember the brand at the moment.

shoot I had a Berk HFC and the magnaflow dual 2.5" kit and the tuner had to pull timing to try and control my boost levels. I was making 11.8 Psi without a boost controller. That wastegate is just way too small.
