gt3076 vs gt3071 etc..
Hi s2ki
im a newbie for forced indcution but im trying to do turbo on my s2k
somebody saying .82 spools fast and somebody saying its not
.82 is better? or small one is better? it is my DD
im trying to make 450Whp
what is the safty way to get 450Whp
i found full blown turbo kit with precision 5454e but i dont think this kit make 450WHP
so can i replace injector fuelpump and gt3076?
what do you guys think get seperatly? not a kit
thanks

Go with the GT3076, or if you want to pay a little more now, the GTX3076R will be the best bet. People generally make right around that 420-450 number on pump gas (around 12-14psi) and 450+ on E85 (16psi+). It's an extremely popular turbo for these cars as it offers a good balance of a quick spool and power potential.
You'll want at least 1000cc injectors, I'd go with Injector Dynamics (ID), and you'll for sure need a new fuel pump. If you're going to run pump gas, go with some like the Full Blown 340 or DW300 will be more than enough.
Hopefully you can just drop in the garrett turbo on the kit and everything will still fit. I know you're going to need to add a water cooling line for the new turbo as I don't believe Precision turbos are water cooled. I'm assuming it's the log manifold (stage 1) Full Blown kit because it came with that tiny turbo, so routing a water line won't be terribly difficult.
I assume the kit came with some kind of engine management and you'll obviously need a re-tune.
This website is a goldmine of information, just learn how to search it and do some research. Google is your best friend. Go through some of these builds and learn. https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/110...-thread-index/

A sample google search, the first link is nearly the same question as yours and would have probably answered your questions...

If 450-550whp is your goal i would suggest the 3071R
I had the gtx3071r on 9,5 psi and got 380whp on a low reading dyno.
On 14psi this would exceed the 450 mark. However i did had some laggyness which i didnt liked. The 3078 would be even more laggier..
Unless your goal is more than 500whp on pump gas and max 14psi, go with the smallest turbo you can get. The car will respond MUCH better in the streets.
