Log mani and E85 have done 700whp...check Kings Performance car...

Good for them (with a fully build head,E85, ID2000, duel 044 pumps etc.. and tons of other stuff.)

He is running...

Small turbo rated around 450whp
1000cc injectors
walbro 255 pump

So lets just say no way but ok... like I said.. we will see if he gets close.

Im not sure if you read above.... I will have fully built head, lowered compression, I'll get to 450whp no problem... this exact same turbo I mean exact I did 406 AWHP @ 17psi on my 2.0l sti....rwhp is much easier to get .....not 33% drive train loss like awd set up....

Either way it's a street car and only will see 425whp at redline, which is not very often, so really the numbers are useless, because my turbo isn't huge, it will be streetable...

Thanks for the input!

ultimate racing has proven with dyno slips etc to make 500 hp on this set up........I believe them.....

8 psi is 345whp.... I imagine 15-20 psi to break 400-425 EASY !!!

If 20psi=425 and you want 450whp... hummm 25psi on a log is A LOT of back pressure. But hey, what do I know... guess we will see. Post dyno sheet after tuned.
question, about the back pressure..... you got me thinking ....... there is only going to be serious pressure in there when I am at full load and full boost.... however when I am at full boost my wastegate is fully open allowing excess pressure to vent, preventing the turbo to spool over the desired amount.... so what back pressure are you talking about??? because from the theory Im thinking about there isnt really any backed up pressure....just air going to the turbine and air leaving the manifold right when it enters..........

clarification is needed ..

thanks

At max boost, turbine inlet pressure is usually equal to or greater than boost (compressor) pressure. So that 25 psi is on the exhaust side too... between the exhuast and the turbo- Google "turbo turbine inlet pressure"

I understand that, but pressure is lazy, wants the path of least resistance...... the manifold is so small and the opening (wastegate) is so big, I just cant see there being pressure in there, at least not more then is needed to make the turbo spool at 18 psi, once it gets there, it dumps excess gases (pressure)

talked to my tuner last night, he KEEPS saying 450 is sooooo easy to hit with this kit...... on a dyno jet blah blah blah

wierd !
