So spoon Hardtop it is. People from the outside of the car say it squats due to the stock suspension but at speed it's noticably lifting. I might try to lower the front without compromising to much. Cover the bottom make a rear diffuser or something
According to honda the CR aero also created a significant reduction in lift at high speeds.

Maybe you should do an undertray/diffusor and a cr front lip?

As reported by who? Let me guess...spoon?

Let's be honest, you can only take their word (or any tuner company that wants to make money) worth a grain of salt.

Because we all know headers make 10hp, exhausts make 10hp, and intake snorkels can somehow defy physics, compress air, and make 10hp as well...

^ true it probably doesn't make a huge difference but enough that you see Lot of new cars with the same shape also z4 as an example. I like the style Of the spoon and if it makes you a little quick might be worth it. I will be making an under tray and rear diffuser for sure take it to the track try to do a comparison.

I wouldn't go bashing spoon just yet.

now I don't think the hardtop would make a difference that equates to 13mph, but to the OP: any aero mods to reduce drag will help at high speeds considerably.

look at some vehicles with very high power to weight ratios (ariel atom, ktm x bow) and then look at their top speeds....severely drag limited!

It's a no-brainer that top up = better aerodynamics and better fuel economy. Even at my local road course I am several mph slower down the straights if I go top down.

I am glad the OP mentioned the bottom of th car though. A full underbody aero package will also do wonders. Smoothing out that turbulent air will help stabilize the vehicle and make the car cut through the air with more ease.

I have no fender liners open space in my front bumper and my rear bumper is definately catching air from people just following behind me on the highway they can tell. Top up defiantely makes a difference. I think when the car squats and allthe air going underneathe the car is slowing the car down more than me just having the top down. I was wonderIng what suspension heighT combos people were using and would it be better to drop the front significantly lower than the back like muscle cars do but not as extreme.

oh I agree a HT helps, but I'm saying that I wouldn't go around believing those outlandish claims by tuner companies.
