Default Have AEM EMS need Wideband

I bought an AEM EMS 1052 non UEGO box earlier this month. I will need to wire in a Wideband to use with it and before I buy one I need to know which one to get. Will the 30-4100 work or do I need the AEM Serial gauge. I need it to have a readout as well as go to the AEM itself. Any help would be a tremendous help. Thanks in advance

The 4100 will work. It has a wire that you tap into the harness for your aem.

You can wire any of the AEM wide bands to the EMS. It's just one wire (0-5V signal, not sure which colour) that connects into pin (different on 1012 and 1052 but is called O2#1).

If you buy the gauge/controller you already have the gauge, but it's kinda single purpose. If you buy the inline controller and the serial gauge you still get O2 display but you get so much more. That's what I did.

Guess I should elaborate on the 'so much more'.

My serial gauge displays O2 plus several other parameters using standard sensors such as coolant temperature and manifold pressure. I also have an EGT sensor installed in my downpipe so I can monitor that too. You can also install oil pressure and temp sensors. Up to 19 in all.

The gauge also lets you set alarms so that when a parameter exceeds a certain limit it comes to the front and has a wire to trigger and audible or visual alram.

I am using the PLX wideband hooked up to my 1052 and it reads out on my serial gauge. Seems to work great

how do you guys like those serial gauges? Ive read a lot of mixed reviews on them. I heard it was a pain to get them calibrated correctley. Any truth to that?
