Have I done too many cooling mods?

Do you also have an oil cooler? I have noticed that my car takes waaay longer to get up to temp since I installed the oil cooler on my car. I have a stock radiator/thermostat so I can't comment on that, but I know that with the oil cooler it takes a good 10 minutes to get up to operating temp.

Check your heater valve on the right side of the engine by the firewall. Make sure it is not damaged (as in melted) and make sure it opens all the way.

I feel like I'm going to get in trouble...but...I have the EMS and no way of monitoring my temps. I get heat literally after about 20 minutes of driving. XViper, by inefficient, do you mean I;m wasting some money on gas or I am damaging my engine. I do drive quite conservatively until it gets hot.
I have Modifry's ECT mod for the EMS and it works great.

I have a foolproof temp sensor. It's my right hand. I start the car and occasionally touch the radiator hose till I feel it getting hot. See how long that takes. See how long it takes for the fans to come on.

On a cold engine, take off the radiator cap and start the engine. If you see water flowing, you need a new 'stat. I think your symptoms sounds like a bad 'stat. When the 'stat's closed there shouldn't be much water flow so, the engine gets hot no matter how many cooling mods you have.

I suggest that as well, make sure the "arm" of the heater valve moves freely, that it's not blocked/melted inside (happend to me).
Once the car is hot, let someone turn the temperature controler from blue to red and watch it if it moves.Air temps. from the vents inside of the car should change quickly from cold to hot.
If it's gone, get a new one and wrap it

passenger for USDM cars... left and right side of car is based on if you were looking forward towards where the car is going.
