Thumbs up Help with A/F and boost gauges

Hey guys, time to put in some gauges on my ride. I have the vortech supercharger for about a year now and time to do a boost and a/f gauge since i dont have one, but question is do i need anything specific. WHen it comes to the A/F guage i see some say "narrow band o2 sensor only" so what should i be looking for ? and this is something i can just tap into my existing o2 sensor right ?? let me know thanks so much. First car i ever had supercharged, so if there is more gauges u suggest let me know. Want to make sure she performs at her best! Thanks everyone!!!! James

You need a complete wideband system like the AEM. It comes with a sensor and gauge to see the readout. If you also want to keep your stock O2 sensor then you need to weld in another bung. The AEM gauge comes with another bung and you can get your local shop to weld it into your test pipe or exhaust. Any gauge is fine for boost.

Narrow band is just a pretty flickering light, you'll need a wideband.

Ok thanks guys, so I'm trying not to get the AEM yet, i dont have a grand right now to just dump on it.... (100K paying back to school so yeah) but I didn't know if I could do an A/F gauge without having to change anything such as having a bung welded in the exhaust?? I guess the boost im clear on, i can just hook that up via my vacuum under my dash.... any other info on the A/F guage bc my vortech was running lean when i dyno'ed it, i think i got it corrected but would be nice to have "realtime" watch on it! Thanks for all the help so far guys!!!

I personally have the autometer wideband. I bought it at summit here in Mcdonough for 350 bucks. It costed a little more then finding it on the internet but I can take it back for repairs anytime. It also comes with the sender and the bung, as its a complete kit.
