Default help me

ok so I put an intake on my car last night, everything seemed fine when I went for a quick drive around my block last night. Today I was driving to work on the highway and got on it and went up to redline in 3rd and 4th, the car was sputtering above 6500, like it wasnt getting enough gas or something, I back off and tried again and the same thing happened, could my new intake be restricting flow causing this? it didnt feel good and has me worried.

Intake won't do that unless the filter failed and ****ed up the turbo.

What does your wideband say? That's the first thing I check when something seems off.

maybe the spark plug gap is too great? something like this happened to me, i found a bolt missing on my turbo that it had been tuned like that. put that bolt in and it still made the same boost but sputtered a lil up top and the gap fixed it. hope this helps

i cant check my wideband until I go home and hook my laptop up to it, i guess it could be the spark plug gap, but it has been running fine untiol today, and the only thing i changed was I added an intake instead of just a screen on my turbo, heres the new intake, i did use a 4" to 3" reducer coupler to make it fit

Easy diagnoses, take the filter off and see if it remedies the issue?

REport back.

I've seen plenty of filters in real life restrict flow, most were designed for an n/a application where they don't need the crazy CFM's a turbo requires.

I never noticed this before, but holy 90 degree angle batman !!

A sweeping radius is best, but such an abrupt turn, whew.
