Default Help...problem with VTEC

Config.
S2000-07
7000 miles
Kraftwerks high boost
Nvidia header
Berg HFC catalyc
Nvidia exhaust
Oil amsoil synt 10w40, Checked Full
Temperatur 11 o clock
Running with out bumper (temporary)

Hi,Guys. After KW installation I lost my VTEC, it comes only once in day(early in the morning) by 6000rpm kicks in for 1 second, after is just regular rpm,if I try it later no vtec at all .I think,I am running to rich,my exhaust is black, and the spark plugs too, also the car in idle, runs ruff ,it is worse in air condition mode.

I did Only one modification ,I drill 5/16 hole in the base of vtec solenoid,to support the engine damper, maybe this the problem.(see picture).

Thanks for any help.

P.S.Sorry for my English

Why did you drill out the VTEC solenoid block? It's a 6mm bolt hole, and not meant to support the stress of a engine damper.

There is a unused 10mm bolt hole directly behind the VTEC solenoid that most engine dampers are designed to use.

It's either low on oil, or you may have damaged the solenoid and spool valve when you drilled it.

just pick up a new vtec solenoid and lose the damper...the damper makes the car feel nicer but it's not worth doing what you did to the solenoid haha. partshelper has 2 vtec solenoids for sale in the main fs forum.

Where is the changeover set with the KW kit anyway? I thought 4K? Why would it come on at 6K, even if just for a second?

IIRC, I thought many KW owners say the VTEC changeover is practically unnoticeable after installing the kit.
