I have a Vortech supercharger I'm installing and I'm considering running the next size down pulley to push 10 - 12 psi. The motor's internals are stock for the moment. I talked to Vortech and they said it would be safe if I'm not "on it" all the time, but they wouldn't recommend it.
What do you guys think?

 

If your motor is in good health and you have a competent tuner 10-12psi with a Vortech SC will be fine.

You'll be fine as long as you have a competent tuner as psileepr already stated. I'm fortunate enough to be only 2 hours away from Jeff Evans and will be going for 400 at 10 to 11psi with an all stock motor.

Sounds good. The motor only has about 25K on it so I'd say its in decent shape. Also going for around 400+

 

Yup no problem. If you ever want to go around 14 psi or more then meth injection would be highly recomended. Good luck have fun be safe.

 

I just got my 4'' pulley made for my VTSC by ASP. I will put it on and tune it the first week of March. I cant wait. hoping for that 400hp mark to.
