I hate this BOV all togther. Under low boost you barely hear it from what I have read, and I have heard this in person under high boost and it just flutters like crazy, which is the most annoying sound in the world. I'm a big fan of tial since I went FI. The sound of a BOV is cool at first, but kind of annoying shortly after. With the Tial you definitely know its there from in the car, but there is no loud whistling or PPPPPPPSHHHHHHH, just a big KOOOSH of air when you shift. It just sounds mean. I know this is slightly off topic, but everytime I hear an HKS BOV I just cringe.
I def wanna hear it X, can you still hear it when your just idling?
Or do you have to be under load?
Depending on how it sounds(if it does sound MEAN) i wonder if you can switch from my setup to tial?

Markus, when your idling the BOV is open so there is really no sound that come from it, but under boost it just sounds like lot of compressed air is being released all at once. Its definitely not as loud as many other BOV's, but for me the sound is perfect. No loud whistling or a woosh that you hear from 1/2 mile away, instead it sounds kind of like the sound that darth vader makes when he exhales. BTW, I hate star wars. If you want people in the lane next to you to know thta you have a turbo setup then this probably isn't for you, but if you like something that sounds good from the driver's seat then you will like the tial. I'm not sure if your HKS has the same flange to mount it as the tial, but if its different then you will have to get a new flange welded to your charge pipe. Hopefully I will have a video made soon of my car, maybe next weekend, so you will be able to hear the sound.

I have the TiAL and it loud as ####. When you lift under full boost, it sound like someone just got spanked by a sado-maso lady!

Hmmm... you must have a fairly quiet exhaust then or maybe you aren't running an open wastegate? Under WOT there is no way that my BOV sounds loud, its definitely audible, but nothing like many of the other ones on the market.
