i've only ever used HKS valves. the c clip fastener is by far the hardest thing to get on and off - sucks during install but makes for a lovely seal.

i have heard good things about the tial but i've never used one. i'm sure they are both fine.

I've used both the HKS SSQV and the Tial 50mm -q

Both sounds are unique and I thought I liked the HKS more, but the Tial has REALLY grown on me.

A quality piece and alot easier to install/remove than the HKS unit.

Tial, hands down.

Get the new -q one...flows more.

I was split between the two and ended up going with the HKS.

However, the TiAL's flange/connection on the cold pipe is better that HKS's IMO
IMO nothing sounds better than an HKS, but the Tial is superior apparently. Honestly if I could do it again I would get the new HKS Black SQV....looks sooo good. Man, I kinda want it now. lol

i wouldnt call the TiAL superior... both valves do their job and i havent heard of any cases of either leaking. i've used just about every BOV on my WRX when i first got it (HKS, GReddy, Forge, BLitz, TurboXS RFL, Turboxs type H, etc) and after all of them, i ended up buying another HKS.. it is definately a unique sound and NEVER leaked boost while the rest usually did no matter how much adjustment you made to it.

if you want a cool noise and a good valve that wont leak boost.. then get an HKS.. if you want a purpose built valve with a semi cool sound, then TiAL is the way to go.

you really cant go wrong with either one. although if GReddy still had the Type S and it didnt leak like an old man's bladder, i'd be rocking that instead of a TiAL.

the GReddy gets my #1 for noise, then comes HKS.
