i had the HKS SSQV which i liked. At low boost (SC) it sounds like a whistle but at high boost it makes you cream your pants

but i recently switched over to Synapse BOV which i love. call me crazy but it sounds like Darth Vader breathing when it goes off...lol

if you take off the fin insert on the HKS it sounds exactly the same. if you want the HKS' reliability/performance but dont want th enoise, just remove the insert.

 

I've got the HKS SSQ and love the way it sounds and performs. I've had it up to 30 psi of boost with no problem.

 

for those of you gurus, may i ask, why is it that i am able to hear the Synapse BOV go off even at low boost yet the HKS did not go off unless i was at higher boost levels?

also, i had pretty bad compressor surge with the SSQV which is why i switched to the Synapse. now i have none
