how does a greddy turbo s2000 run?
My buddies car with a really nice setup( Tubular Sidewinder W/ 6265 Precision) made 350WHP at just 4 PSI. Just go with a good kit now, you can run low boost and make the power you think you want now. Then when the boost itch gets to be overpowering get re-tuned at a higher PSI. I had the GReddy Kit for 6 Months, after taking one ride in his car, Its time to upgrade!! I am going with the same setup looking to make 450-500 WHP. He went on to make 500 @ 14PSI. Just imagine rolling up next to a C6 Z06 and blowing its doors off.
I am only telling you this because I have been there, done that, wasted a lot of money.

You say you want to start here and work your way up b/c you don't wanna jump from 200-500 hp.
The greddy kit isn't for you. You are already planning on going much more.
You do know you can buy a much nicer kit have it tuned for 300ish and down the road after you get beat you can go back and get tuned for more power. 500 is the perfect amount on the street in an s2k IMO.

I've beaten lots of cars in streetlight situations - mine made 330whp @10psi with meth injection. Typically its someone who thinks they will blow you away but can't - plenty of subies, BMWs, and V6 domestics. Actually just about everyone that has an import V6 (Accord, Maxima, Tiburon etc) seems to assume they will beat an S2000. I've suprised plenty of more powerful cars that thought they could casually roll out on the torqueless S2000 as well. Another place the car excels is when you can gun it after making a turn. There are places in my commute where I make a left turn for instance and then can floor it for a spell. Had an SS camaro behind me (I know the owner) waiting for the light to turn - I go through the turn pretty fast and then punch it. The SS turns wide and takes the right lane, thinking he would waste me. He could not make up the gap and was suprised by it. Sure he would have reeled me in if we were on the highway, but we weren't. Did this to a co-worker in his older chipped 5 series beemer also, he doesn't realize the weight of his car and thinks my car is only making 200hp or something. Again not talking about a high speed run.
Don't expect results beyond the kind of power to weight ratio you'll have, of course. I only paid $2800 for the kit so it was lots of fun for the money. Having said that, I'm installing a GT3076 setup now . . .
Ok sounds good that's all I'm pretty much looking for . Also what clutch system should I go with ? And does a lightened flywheel kill my power ? Im wanting to run a 11 lb flywheel what you guys think ?
I think that would be a pretty close race. Could go either way depending on how the race starts (from a roll vs at a light), how hard you're willing to launch, etc. You'd have to be on your toes to win that one.
I used to have a 335i for almost 3 years and now I have a Greddy turbo S2K. From a dig, the 335i, even stock, would probably beat a Greddy S2K through the quartermile, but I think the S2K would have a higher trap speed and would take it if the race was longer than a quartermile. I had a tune on my 335i for most of the time I had it though, and it ran 12.8 at the track with stock everything except the tune. Those cars were easy to make fast. Low 12s could be had with minimal mods.
And for those wondering why I got rid of it, I used to have an AP2 before the 335i and actually enjoyed my previous S2K more, so I got a TSX daily AND an AP2 for the same price that my BMW was new. Definitely happier with this set up.
