I will be installing a Greddy turbo kit soon. Just wanted to know what quarter mile times some of you with the Greddy kit have been doing ? Also what other cars have you beaten ?

No you won't ....he means it won't run the quarter mile it'll jog it...Haha. I had a GReddy kit & I thought the same thing "I'll be happy with 300" NOPE..... 6 months later I'm doing a whole new build and shooting for 500 this time. Save yourself time and money and go big now!

unless your from california.. Greddy kit is like the only turbo kit you can buy unless you take it off every two years for smog or have someone that can illegally smog it.

If you're buying a turbo for high power to run quick quartermile times and "beat" other cars on the road, you'll probably want to go ahead and get something else. If you're like me, and just want a little more kick-in-the-pants torque down low to make an already fun car even more fun, then the Greddy kit will fit your needs. It's probably the most conservative turbo system out there, and 280-300whp is about all you're ever going to see. That, on a 2800lbs car is plenty though, IMO. You'll technically be able to run low 13s with that, though a lot of your quartermile times depend on your launch, and I wouldn't recommend doing that with a stock differential.

I don't know where these guys with 500whp are driving their cars, but 300whp is plenty to get you in to trouble. I'm running the stock Greddy kit at 8lbs, with an upgraded exhaust manifold, external wastegate, test pipe, and BOV. I find that I shift at around 5-6K rpms becuase having the torque that a turbo provides means I don't have to rev the piss out of the car to feel like I'm accelerating. Besides, you're usually only shifting gears when you're street driving, and around my area, the fastest speed limits not including the highways is 55mph. Even if you push that to 70, you're getting there plenty fast. I drove a buddy's twin turbo Z06, putting down over 600whp and it was almost useless on the streets. For me, the Greddy is all I really need. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

And I'm just curious what people with the Greddy kit have beaten.

I beat a stock 2010 SS Camaro and ran a 13.2 quarter mile. If you preload launch the car you'll be ok on the stock rearend.
