I have a 2004 s2000 i also have a $250.00 bet with a friend of mine that i can run a 12.99 in the quater? All i have done is exaust and cold air with a 55 shot of nos Can it be done? I can drive the hell out of anything so the question is ..... do i have the hp to dip in the twelve's?

Is it possible? As long as you keep your 60' around 2.0 or 2.1, you should be very close. Nitrous is faster than even a turbo hp for hp.

I think you're going to hit around 13.3 - you need to practice your launch and hooking up. Good luck.

Don't spray before 3k or it's bent rod city for you. Are you running a window switch?

250 dollar bet isnt even worth the amount it'll cost to get a nitrous set up (last I checked they were like 700 dollars or something)


However, if you drive right, you should be able to hit 12's

 

i have a 75 shot and its hella faster. if i were you, you might not even want to launch. i know that sounds odd, but with NO nitrous, i launch at 6k and the tires spin like hell, then i finally catch traction and it shoots to redline and i shift...by that time, you could already be in 2nd with the nitrous. with the 75 shot i go much faster. if i were you, id maybe have a light launch (3-4k) so you can keep good traction and spray as soon as possible (but make sure its about 3500 rpms. with a good 60 ft time you should easily hit 12's.

the best way i can explain the feeling of nitrous in the s2k is that with nitrous, its like having VTec throughout the entire powerband. once you hit 6k with nitrous you wont feel that extra surge. its just going to be a strong surge throughout...and that surge is stronger than VTec with no nitrous so once you hit VTec WITH nitrous itll be faster than without it. nitrous is great but addicting

 

with nitrous i would hope so. i plan to hit a 12.9 with j's intake, header, and T1R 70mm and 4.7 gears.

 

I do have a window switch and ive been running nos for many years with NO problems. Got to know how to respect it.Ive had my o4 now for three years and it has 5300 miles on it I dont drive it much . The zex kit was put on 2 weeks after i bought it. Along with many other mods.Id post pics but not sure how??? But many thanks to you that have responded.We will soon find out just how fast she can go..
