LOL
Screw the studs in, double nut with a stock nut to tighten, then put the manifold on and tighten from the middle outwards. I didn't torque mine, it's impossible to get a wrench in there.. I just tightened the sh* t out of them and have had no issues.

Lots of moly lube on the threads and both sides of the washer. Like DSDDCD said, just barely past finger tight. Torque the studs down in 3 steps. I did a first step just to get the threads started and the head to seat a little. 20- 40-60-90. If you hear any squeaking while torquing, loosen and try again. Maybe add more moly lube.

Go back through every stud to see if they are all at the given tq spec.

thats for headstuds....he is referring to the exhaust maniold studs. no way that tiny stud is going to take 90ftlbs and no need for moly lube

Whenever I put in new studs I true up the threads with a tap and clean them up with carburator cleaner.

If you are using a Rev hard/ IP log manifold you will need to leave off the 2 or 3 studs closest to the front of the motor when you initially mount it. Once its in place, you can put them in and tighten down the nuts.
