Default How long will it take to change the vortech belt?

Hi everybody,

looks like my vortech belt is to loose, even straigthening won't help much. So I have to settle for exchanging it. Reading the excellent FAQ, it looks like still a lot of bolts to loosen in order to fit the new belt.

Can anybody who has done this tell me how much it took him? And pls state if you did it on your own or a mechanic was doing it.

Thanks a lot,

Andreas

Having ratching wrenches will help speed things up immensely. I made a boo-boo when I first put on my S/C and had to undo everything to get the belt back on. It'll take about an hour if you have the right tools. If you are going to get someone else to do this for you, it would be best to get someone who has done this before. Someone who hasn't done it before will most likely take off far more than necessary.
