Default How many people are running a SC

Seeing how many folks are running a SC kit on their AP1 without upgrading their oil jet bolts. I don't plan on tracking the car and/or doing a lot of street racing...errr I mean testing my car against other cars on the highway.

This issue is something that many people feel needs to have the 4 bolt design.

Other people, as myself, believe that upgrading to the 4 hole oil jet bolts is a waste of the 50 dollars for them and your time and frustration.

We have a forged bottom end. Changing from the 2 hole to 4 hole designs aren't gonna help anything IMO and I mean IMO.

What kind of kit are you getting? If its not a self lube you have to drop the pan to tap your oil return anyway.

Thanks guys! @Deception: For sure the SOS Stage 1 at first, with the self lube option, but I do see your point. Why not just knock it out when the opportunity arises.

The biggest issue with the 2 hole is high rpm cruising at long distance, like 5k rpm for example. When vtec comes on more oil is injected. The biggest issue was guys running gears on hyw like 4.77 and over in Europe where cruising speeds are typically higher then 60-70mph. If you don't have gears and don't run your car on long road trips at higher speed then you are probably fine.

Run syn oil and at the proper weight for the climate conditions.

Thanks for the info bro. Have you done anything to the car recently? I know you have your eye on the Novi 1500.
