do I have a leaky SC?
Hi there.
I seem to be getting a little bit of oil leakage in the vicinity of my Comptech SC. Now, before you ask, I've checked and re-checked and the oil is not coming from where the oil lines go in and out of the supercharger. The frame rail underneath the SC is a bit wet with oil, and if I look at the supercharger from below, it almost seems as if it is coming from the seam between the outer and inner casings of the blower itself.
Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not seeing any oil level problems, so it is obviously a very small amount.
Thanks in advance for any feedback!

It may be coming from the S/C bearing oil jacket. If this is the case, a fix will be VERY difficult. You'd need a new blower.
Can you be sure it's not coming from where the oil line begins (at the engine) and just flowing down the line and dripping where you see it?

Well, there is no signs of a leak anywhere from block at the VTEC solenoid to the blower. It's down below, underneath, where you see oil. I just talked to Shad at Comptech, and he seems to think that its the fitting between the oil return line and the blower itself. He says he's seen lots of examples of minor leakage there, and it is usually because this is not tightened quite enough. I'll try that, I guess.

I actually just got back from getting my leak fixed. I have the vortech setup, so it's a little different. It seemed to be leaking where the return line meets with the oil pan. I know the comptech doesn't drill into the oil pan, but I would imagine as well that there are some leakage problems within the fittings.
