Guys, How much boost are you guys running out of the box with the Vortech, Comptech or turbo, stock injectors, stock compression ratio and without changing the timing advance.

What's the most you have run on a completely stock setup and pump gas without pinging?

I just finished up installing my turbo and wanted to get a gauge for what to expect when tuning. Thanks.

 

when everything is done and complete (haven't started yet) i plan on running only around 6 psi... 450 injectors... stock compression... no timing adjustments.

 

From what I researched, anything above 8psi for CT SC needs injectors and tuning to be safe. Anything above 9psi is risky but has been done and hope to hear members long term use. If its safe, I might go to 10-11psi.

 

I will be running around 8psi with stand alone and pro tuning. Both on and off the dyno. Most recommended to have that tuning done. Sometimes everything can't be done on just the dyno.

 

Will be going for something between 15-20lbs of boost in my setup. Motor build has lowered compression down to about 9-1.

 

I ran 18 psi stock pistons and rods.. with a 3mm headgasket and made over 500hp on 100 octane pump gas!!

 

Currently running the comptech supercharger w/ 7psi belt & pulley.. stock injectors, no tuning done. However I do have a VAFC1 & Frog Harness sitting in my room waiting to go on, just to lazy to take it for tuning

 

what did you guys gap your spark plugs down to? 25-30?
